FAQ: EVOO Storage
What is the best way to store olive oil?
To extend shelf life, extra virgin olive oil should always be stored in an air-tight, sealed container in a dark, cool place. A cupboard is best, or somewhere away from direct sunlight and heat. Olive oil should not be kept in a refrigerator, as the cold causes the oil to coagulate and solidify. This does not ruin the oil, however, so if your olive oil happens to get cold, simply leave it out at room temperature and it will eventually return to its liquid state.
